Think of us as biological computers. Our minds are like the central processing unit (CPU), running programmes we call “beliefs.” These beliefs shape our understanding of the world.

The Role of Emotions

Our emotions act as a notification system. They alert us when the world isn’t aligning with our internal programmes. When things go as we expect we feel good. When they don’t, we experience negative emotions.

Identifying Our Programmes

To understand our programmes we need awareness. By posting attention to our thoughts, particularly those involving “should” and “shouldn’t,” we can uncover the underlying beliefs driving our emotions and behaviours.

The Power of Choice

Once we identify these programmes, we have the power to choose. We can decide if we want to keep them or change them. This conscious choices allows us to shape our experiences and responses to the world around us.

A Simpler Perspective

Ultimately, we’re simpler beings than we often think. By recognising our basic programming and role it plays in our lives, we can gain greater control over our thoughts, emotions, and actions.
